WEEKEND RECAP: Relaxing with Family
It's been so nice having Eileen in town. We had a lovey weekend which included dinner at Market in Rocky River (I highly recommend the scallops), brunch at Deagan's (Charlie's shrimp and grits was awesome) and a relaxing Sunday afternoon at Rocky River Park watching puppies play and boats sail by. Seriously one of my favorite places in the Riv!

CELEBRATE: Happy Birthday America!
Our fourth of July was nice and laid back. We had a few family members over and cooked out. My aunt is town from Georgia to visit with us over the next week. It was about 100 degrees so we didn't sit outside very much, which was fine with me. Sweating from just sitting in a chair is not really my thing. I hope everyone had a very pleasant fourth as well!!
I picked these Hydrangeas from our yard! We have two big bushes. Anyone need some wedding centerpieces? :)

ANNIVERSARY: A Little Overnight Staycation
For our 2 year anniversary Charlie and I had a little staycation in Downtown Cleveland. I rented a room at the Renaissance Hotel and we went to dinner at Dante in Tremont. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend. The building used to be Bank so there is an old antique vault that you actually reserve a table in. The service was really top notch. I had put a comment in my reservation that it was our anniversary and asked for a more private table if possible. When we first got there we were put at a tiny table right on top of the adjacent tables. The matradee then remembered my note and moved us to a much nicer table and brought us champagne. It was lovey! The next morning we indulged in a way overpriced room service breakfast, but hey anniversaries only happen once a year right?

CELEBRATE: 2 Year Anniversary!
Wow has it flown by. I can't believe it was two years ago that I married my very best friend. In our two years of marriage we have certainly been tested with some ups and downs in life, but never has our love or commitment faltered. I don't know where I would be or what I would do with out this crazy kid that told me 7 years ago he would be sure to get my screen name. I am so excited for the years and years of memories we have left to make. Love you always!

WEEK IN SNAPSHOTS: Dates, Grilled Peaches & More Cats
My favorite part of this past week was the spontaneous date night Charlie and I had at Burntwood Tavern. If you ever go I HIGHLY suggest the lobster perogies. OMG they are delicious! As part of my mission to be more adventurous with my makeup, I rocked some bright coral lips on this date and to work! A close second was the grilled Ohio peaches over Jeni's vanilla bean we made on Saturday night! Mmmm. Eat local!
FUN WITH FRIENDS: Sunday Brunch!
We spent all day on Saturday cleaning the house, so the highlight of our weekend was Sunday brunch with our good friends Kristin & Tim. Since I still had a pie crust left from last weekend I made another quiche, but vegetarian this time for Kristin. It was good but to quote Tim, "Italian suasage would have really put it over the edge". Womp womp. We also indulged in some strawberry donut hole skewers, chamapagn and proseco. It was delightful company and I love a good brunch! But on a more depressing note, I seem to have lost the ability to put any pressure on my left foot. I think this injury is a result of doing Insanity barefoot. Yes, I'm an idiot. Trying to see an Ortho tomorrow for diagnosis. Waaaah.
